Don Marco's Ceviche de Tilapia
Ceviche is a very traditional dish in the hispanic community, and it is perfect for the warmer days! Here is a simple yet delicious recipe to try out. Makes: 3 servings
Ingredients:
½ cup lime juice
¼ cup tomato (chopped and seeded)
¼ cup cucumber (peeled, seeded and finely diced)
½ cup onions (finely chopped)
2 tbsp. fresh cilantro leaves (chopped)
2 tsp. hot sauce
1 serrano pepper
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Preparing Instructions:
Place the tilapia cubes in a medium bowl. Pour lime juice over the fish and mix gently to combine.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
Add the tomato, cucumber, onion, cilantro, serrano pepper, and hot sauce.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve and enjoy!
Tip: Spread some mayonnaise in a tostada and enjoy with the ceviche!
